USPS to Showcase New Vehicles and Facility Upgrades at Stockton Sorting and Delivery Center

New Vehicles, New Equipment and Stunning Facility Upgrades part of Postal Service Nationwide $40 Billion Delivering for America Plan Investments

What:

As part of its Delivering for America 10-year plan, the U.S. Postal Service is rolling out significant investments across the nation. This $40 billion initiative is designed to modernize and revitalize the Postal Service.

The new Stockton Sorting and Delivery Center (S&DC) is just one of these facilities and it is the only in the Central Valley equipped with the latest in modernization.

The tangible results of this investment will be showcased at the sprawling 215,910 square foot Stockton Sorting and Delivery Center, where new vehicles and a modernized facility will be on display.

Equipped with the latest in processing equipment the facility can process 3,000 package per hour for the nine zip codes, PO Boxes and 127 routes that operate out of this facility.

This exclusive event will provide for one day only, a first-hand look at the future of the new fleet — eventually replacing vehicles that are over 30 years old — and a newly updated facility, demonstrating the Postal Service’s commitment to enhance service delivery along with the employee and customer experience in Stockton, California, and across the nation.
