Escondido Post Office to Host Passport Fair on Oct. 19

Holiday 2024 Travelers Advised to Submit Their New Passport Applications ASAP

What:

The Escondido Post Office is hosting a special weekend Passport Fair at which postal employees will accept applications for new U.S. passports.

“Now that summer is over, the thoughts of many San Diego County residents have turned to making holiday travel plans,” said Escondido Postmaster Dat Nguyen. “Those planning international travel should plan ahead and submit their passport applications ASAP. The U.S. Passport Agency currently estimates that it will take from six to eight weeks to process new passport applications.

“We’re holding this special event to make the process of applying for new passports easy for residents of Escondido and San Diego County as a whole. A lot of people, especially those with schoolchildren, don’t have the time during the week to visit a post office to submit their passport applications.

“My postal clerks and I will be at our office on this Saturday to help customers who want to get a head start on their 2024 holiday international travel plans.”
