USPS Invites Media to Tour San Diego Mail Processing Facility

Behind-the-Scenes Glimpse During Busiest Week of the Christmas Shipping Rush

What:

Local media are invited to conduct behind-the-scenes tours of the U.S. Postal Service’s largest mail processing facility in San Diego county during the busy evening shift in the absolute busiest week of the Christmas shipping rush.

USPS guides will escort media representatives on tours of the USPS Margaret L. Sellers (MLS) Processing & Distribution Center, explaining major mail processing procedures and providing opportunities to shoot b-roll and/or photos.

After each tour is over, a USPS holiday spokesperson will be available to answer general questions about USPS holiday preparations, holiday shipping deadlines, and consumer information such as shipping and packing tips.

How:

RSVP to duke.gonzales@usps.gov by Tuesday, Dec. 17. Tour time slots from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. will be allotted as RSVPs are received. Parking and entry instructions will be provided once time slots are confirmed.
