Yosemite National Park Post Office 100th Anniversary

Background:
The historic Yosemite Post Office was completed in 1925. The building was designed by Gilbert Stanley Underwood, the architect who would later design the Ahwahnee Hotel.
The ceremony will begin with a memory lane tour of the historic post office with a look at pictures over the years. Attendees will also be able to purchase stamps, caches, and hear from current Yosemite Postmaster Ellen Damin, two former postmasters and District Manager Al Santos.
Last year, Yosemite National Park hosted USPS first day-of-issue dedication ceremony for the Ansel Adams Forever stamps featuring 16 photographs made by the esteemed artist and environmentalist. Stamps are now available online.
