Postal positions for letter carriers, tractor trailer operators, and automotive technicians are open in Los Angeles

Greater Los Angeles — Effective June 20, 2025, positions for City Carrier Assistant (CCA) opened up for the cities of Beverly Hills, Hawthorne, Inglewood, La Habra, Long Beach, Los Angeles, Redondo Beach, Santa Monica, South Gate, Torrance, and Venice. Tractor Trailer Operator (TTO), Automotive Technician, and Lead Automotive Technicians positions are also available.

This Friday, June 27, 2025, the Los Angeles Postal Service will conduct an in-person recruitment drive where a postal team member will answer questions regarding the new application process and help candidates build a profile to apply for vacancies; no appointment is necessary.

All positions are paid bi-weekly; starting salary for CCA is $20.73/hr., TTO is $31.96/hr., automotive technician is $63,658/yr; and lead automotive technician is $71,056/yr.

At the time of appointment, applicants must have a valid driver's license from the state in which they live.

Applicants must also demonstrate and maintain a safe driving record. Applicants selected under this qualification standard must successfully complete the required Vehicle Familiarization and Safe Operation training, including demonstration of the ability to safely drive a vehicle of the type used on the job.

Qualified applicants must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening to meet the U.S. Postal Service's requirement to be drug free. Applicants must also be a U.S. citizen or have permanent resident alien status.
