In addition, USPS is currently rolling out a new online job application experience, which will only accept applications for the positions below from the new website, USPS Careers (jobs.usps.com):

Applicants must use the new USPS Careers website to search, and apply for the following jobs:

  • Mail Handler Assistant
  • City Carrier Assistant
  • PSE Mail Processing Clerk
  • PSE Sales and Services/Distribution Associate

All other positions will continue to use our legacy application system (eCareer). During this time, some candidates may find it helpful to search both systems when seeking employment opportunities.

Applicants must use the legacy "eCareer" website to search, and apply for the following jobs (other positions include, but are not limited to):

    • Rural carriers
    • Drivers
    • Maintenance jobs
    • Corporate jobs
    • Automotive Technicians

It is important to note, an individual can use both systems to search for jobs, however, the two systems do not share an account profile. If you previously created a profile in eCareer, you must create a new account and profile if you wish to apply using the new USPS Careers system.

Applicants are encouraged to explore both USPS websites for detailed information about the various positions available, including some of the top jobs offered by USPS.

This is a great time to consider working for the Postal Service—applicants are offered an attractive benefits package which includes medical, dental, vision, sick leave, and vacation time.

As part of its 10-year plan, Delivering for America, the United States Postal Service is focused on building a more stable and empowered workforce.

Driving positions require a valid driver’s license, and applicants must also demonstrate and maintain a safe driving record.

Qualified applicants must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening to meet the Postal Service's requirement to be drug-free. Applicants must also be a U.S. citizen or have permanent resident alien status.
