Meet Cedar Glen’s New Postmaster

CEDAR GLEN, CA — The U.S. Postal Service recently named Elijah Gomez as the new Cedar Glen Postmaster. Gomez started his postal career in 2015 as a clerk at the Barstow, CA, Post Office then transferred to Lucerne Valley Post Office.

In 2018, he became a City Letter Carrier in San Bernardino and promoted to a Driver Safety Instructor two years later. He brings experience of serving as a Customer Service Supervisor at the San Bernardino Main Post Office and assignments with the Human Resources team.

Gomez is looking forward to serving the community of Cedar Glen and participating in community events throughout the area. “It means the world to me to be promoted to Postmaster of Cedar Glen where I can meet the community and hopefully provide exceptional customer service,” Gomez said. “Since I started here, the community members, including my staff, have been extremely welcoming.”

Gomez would like to invite the community to an open house at the Cedar Glen Post Office on Saturday, Sept. 27.

The Cedar Glen Post Office was established in 1943 and operates with two clerks, Willie and Eli, to provide retail services and delivery to 1,259 PO Boxes. Cedar Glen retail hours are: Mon. – Fri. 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.; Sat. 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.; Sun. closed.
