Background:
On January 4, 2025, legislation to designate the Post Office building located at 401 Main Street in Brawley, California, as the “Walter Francis Ulloa Memorial Post Office Building” was signed into law.
Walter Ulloa was a Brawley native who helped transform Spanish-speaking television and radio broadcasting. He began his career in Los Angeles and in 1996 co-founded Entravision Communications.
Over the years, Entravision Communications has expanded and diversified operations by acquiring television and radio stations focused on the Hispanic market across the country. It includes a large network of affiliate Spanish-language television and radio stations and continues the mission of delivering informative news and programming to the Latino market.
Mr. Ulloa passed away in 2022. The Postal Service and Brawley postal employees are honored to have the Brawley Post Office building dedicated in his honor.
