Postal Holiday Positions Are Filling Up Fast in Los Angeles
Positions Go Live in November for Peak Season Help
Greater Los Angeles – The Los Angeles Postal Service is near to closing the gap on the 119 positions needed for the 2025 peak season holiday ensuring USPS’s Ready to Deliver for 2025messaging.
Holiday peak planning has been ongoing all year long and the Postal Service’s investments in processing, logistics and delivery infrastructure to meet customers’ evolving needs are helping the local team meet its goals for a successful 2025 peak holiday season.
A total of 119 holiday positions (non-career) as well as a significant number of pre-career and career positions have been added to Los Angeles’s employee base to meet the demand for service across the Los Angeles metropolitan area.

At the time of appointment, applicants must have a valid driver's license from the state in which they live.
Applicants must also demonstrate and maintain a safe driving record. Applicants selected under this qualification standard must successfully complete the required Vehicle Familiarization and Safe Operation training, including demonstration of the ability to safely drive a vehicle of the type used on the job.
Qualified applicants must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening to meet the U.S. Postal Service's requirement to be drug free. Applicants must also be a U.S. citizen or have permanent resident alien status.
