Klamath River Post Office Reopens

Customers are welcome back to local Post Office

YREKA, CA — The Postal Service is proud to announce the resumption of operations of the Klamath River Post Office, Monday, November 10, 2025, at 20523 State Hwy 96, Klamath River, CA 96050.

The location will provide full retail and Post Office Box (PO BOX) services.

Services were temporarily relocated to the Yreka Post Office after sustaining significant damage from the McKinney fire.

The Klamath Post Office will be open for retail services Monday- Friday 9:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. and provide 24-hour lobby access for P.O. Box mail.

P.O. Boxholders are asked to please present photo I.D. for mail pick-up and to receive their new keys.

Boxholders can pick up their new keys now at the Yreka Post Office, located at 401 S. Broadway St. Yreka, CA 96097, through November 6, thereafter, mail and PO Box keys will be available at the reopened Klamath Post Office effective November 10.

“The Postal Service is proud the Klamath River Post Office and deliver consistent, convenient services just ahead of the holiday season,” said Postmaster Joe Rennock.

Many retail services are also available online, including stamps, change of address requests or P.O. Box services can start the process at usps.com.
