CALIFORNIA — The U.S. Postal Service acknowledges April as National Card and Letter Writing month. We encourage our customers in California to consider expressing their sentiment through the written word and mailing a letter or a card using First-Class Mail, which provides a reliable and cost-effective way to share something special with loved ones.
Across the country, USPS has made recent upgrades to improve the customer experience — including more convenient ways to buy postage, find information, and get in and out quickly at many locations. Many Post Office locations also carry greeting cards, so customers can pick one up and mail it at the same stop.
Special occasions, such as Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, or simply moments that are personally significant, present an ideal opportunity to combine thoughtful expression with written communication. The enhancements made at many of our Post Offices and the tools available online offer a simple way for customers to send a card or letter that still means a lot when it shows up in a mailbox.
