Background:
On Wednesday, April 29th, in her 14th year as a postal employee, Ariana Quezada will be sworn in as Weldon Postmaster.
Quezada began her postal career in Kernville, CA in 2012 as a clerk. She also later worked in Lake Isabella, CA and Weldon, CA before her promotion as Weldon Postmaster. She began her management career in 2022.
“It’s an honor and a privilege to become Weldon Postmaster, my goal is to be a positive member of not only this community, but to all Kern River Valley residents,” Quezada said. “I want to continue providing top-notch customer service by means of my expertly trained staff and have a great dialogue with customers so as to assist them with all their postal needs.”
Quezada is married to her husband, Matthew. They have three children, son, Aeden, and two daughters, Zoe and Madi. In her downtime, she and her family are huge sports fans. She and her husband love to watch their son play baseball and their daughters play soccer and softball. They are also avid volunteers in various youth sports programs, whether it be by coaching, organizing or serving as a member of the board. They are currently organizing the Bronc Boosters’ fundraiser for Kern Valley High, which is her alma mater. The family also loves camping and traveling. They currently reside in Lake Isabella, CA.
As Weldon and Onyx Postmaster, Quezada oversees over 1,400 pieces of mail delivered daily, servicing nearly 600 Post Office Box deliveries. She manages five employees, three highway contract routes, with a population of over 3,300.
