Bakersfield Community & Students Invited to Submit Art for Display at Bakerfield Post Office

USPS invites Bakersfield residents to help celebrate America’s 250th anniversary

What:

In celebration of the 250th anniversary of the United States and the U.S. Postal Service, USPS is inviting local students, families, artists, youth groups and community members to submit original artwork for display at the Royal Oaks Post Office throughout the month of July.

Participants are encouraged to create artwork showing what America’s 250th anniversary means to them — whether that is a celebration of the nation, their hometown, community pride, or the role the Postal Service has played in connecting people and communities for 250 years.

How to participate:

Community members may visit Bakersfield Post Office located at 3400 Pegasus Drive, Bakersfield, CA 93380 to pick up a stamp art display template. Completed artwork may be returned to the same Post Office by July 1, 2026, for inclusion in the July lobby display.

Who can participate:

Students, families, local artists, scouts, campers, youth groups and community members of all ages.

When:

Submissions are accepted now through July 1, 2026.
