DENVER — The U.S. Postal Service require skilled automotive technicians and drivers to keep the largest fleet of vehicles among federal agencies on the road. If you, or someone you know, are seeking a rewarding career in vehicle maintenance, consider applying for an Automotive Technician position with USPS. We are also hiring for Tractor Trailer Operators and Motor Vehicle Operators
On June 6, 2026, the Colorado/Wyoming District Postal will be hosting an in-person job fair where applicants will meet with a specialist to answer questions about the application process and build a profile to apply for USPS positions, no appointment necessary.

Starting annual salary for automotive technicians is $66,586; starting salary for Tractor Trailer Operators is $69,784, and starting salary for Motor Vehicle Operators is $62,441; paid bi-weekly.

At the time of appointment, applicants must have a valid driver's license from the state in which they live.
Driving positions require a valid driver’s license, and applicants must demonstrate and maintain a safe driving record.
Applicants must be 18 years of age and be able to pass drug screening and a criminal background investigation. In some cases, candidates can be 16 years of age with a high school diploma. Applicants must be available to work weekends and holidays.
