DARIEN, CT — After being temporarily housed in a Mobile Retail Unit and a P.O. Box trailer, Noroton Heights Post Office is getting ready to open the doors of its permanent new residence.
Effective Tuesday, Jan. 28, all customer P.O. Boxes will be accessible inside the new postal facility at 264A Heights Road.
Customers can pick up a new P.O. Box key at the Mobile Retail Unit, which houses retail services such as shipping, stamps and postal products and services until further notice.
Customers will receive one new key free of charge, in exchange for customer’s current key. Additional keys are available for a $1.00 fee.
Along with their current P.O. Box key, customers are asked to bring acceptable forms of photo identification (driver’s license, passport, military ID or non-driver’s photo ID) to complete this exchange.
There is no change to customer’s P.O Box number.
The Mobile Retail Unit will be available during the hours of 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and from 12 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. (weekdays only) until the move into the permanent location is complete.
P.O. Box customers will continue to have 24/7 access to their new boxes.
