Darien, CT — A new location and opening date for Darien Post Office has been announced. The new Darien Post Office will open at 25 Old Kings Hwy, N., suite 18, Darien, CT 06820 on May 24 at 8:30 a.m.

There will be a formal ribbon cutting ceremony on Wednesday, May 31 at 10 a.m.

Retail services will be available at Darien Post Office starting Wednesday, May 24 at 8:30 a.m.

P.O. Box customers are instructed to pick up their P.O. Box mail up until Tuesday, May 23, 2023 at 2 p.m. at the current location (Noroton Heights Post Office 264 Heights Rd., Darien, CT 06820).  

All mail not picked up will be securely moved to the new location. Customers will retain their P.O. Box numbers but will need to pick up a new key at the retail window during regular retail hours. Customers are instructed to provide government issued ID (such as a driver’s license) to receive the new key.

There will be no change in delivery routes and no interruption of service for customer door-to-door delivery.

Hours of retail operation at Darien Post Office are as follows: Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. There are no Sunday retail hours however customers will have access to their P.O. Boxes 24/7.
