Postal Service seeks to fill immediate openings
NEW MILFORD, CT — The Postal Service will be present at a job fair on Thursday, Feb. 15 at the John Pettibone Community Center (2 Pickett District Road, New Milford, CT) from noon to 4 p.m.
Postal experts will be on site to assist applicants in the process. Applicants can get started as a city carrier assistant, mail handler, postal support employee or rural carrier assistant by visiting usps.com/careers.
Positions include:
City Carrier Assistant: $19.33 per hour paid bi-weekly.
Delivers and collects mail on foot or by vehicle.
Rural Carrier Associate: $19.94 per hour paid bi-weekly.
Cases, delivers, and collects mail along a prescribed rural route using a vehicle.
Postal Support Employee: $20.05 per hour paid bi-weekly.
Performs distribution and a variety of sales and customer support services for products.
Mail Handler Assistant: $18.22 per hour paid bi-weekly.
Performs distribution and a variety of sales and customer support services for products.

These job fairs are part of the U.S. Postal Service’s 10-year plan, “Delivering for America” to build a more stable and empowered workforce.
