Retail Post Offices Closed Easter Sunday, Priority Mail Express and Hiring Continue

HARTFORD, CT — United States Postal Service operations will proceed as normal on Good Friday, April 18, and Easter Sunday, April 20, 2025.

USPS facilities are usually closed for retail transactions on Sundays. Priority Mail Express is delivered 365 days a year, including on Sundays, along with select packages in some areas. Mail is typically not delivered on Sunday.

Customers can maximize the day by visiting, usps.com which is always open.

Click-n-Ship:

  • Customers can prepare packages from home, using the Click-N-Ship feature on usps.com. Customers can order free Priority Mail boxes*, print shipping labels, purchase postage and even request free next-day Package Pickup.

Hiring portal:
Jobseekers can visit usps.com/careers and browse for available job in their areas. The Careers page is updated frequently. Interested candidates are encouraged to check frequently. 

Postal Products:
The Postal Store is open 24/7 at usps.com. Send Easter cards using the Dahlias Forever stamps and notecards. Stamps are available online starting April 26, in sheets of 10 close-up images of dahlias and their pistils. Dahlias notecards feature 10 unique card designs, 10 envelopes and 10 matching Forever stamps.
