Whethersfield, CT — The Whethersfield Post Office, 67 Beaver Rd., will hold a passport fair April 18, 2025, from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m., offering customers a quick, easy and convenient place to renew or apply for their passports. Walk-ins are welcome for both first-time applicants and renewals.

Applicants need to bring proof of American citizenship and identity:

Citizenship – either a certified birth certificate issued by the city, county or state; a previous passport; a certificate of citizenship or a naturalization certificate.

Identity: recently issue passport, naturalization certificate, recently issued certificate of citizenship, or a current valid driver’s license or a government or military photo ID.

Each passport for an adult must be paid by check or money order for $130 made payable to the U.S. Department of State and a $35 acceptance fee made payable to USPS. Children under 16’s fees are $100 and $35.

Passport photos can be taken for an additional fee. The cost to expedite processing at the Department of State is $60 per application in addition to required fees.

The passport application requires color passport photograph of you (2” by 2” in size). Customers should download the passport application  and complete prior to arriving. Do not sign the application. All applicants, including minors, must appear in person.
