Connecticut Post Offices Will Be Open New Year’s Eve, Closed New Year’s Day
HARTFORD, CT— Post Offices across Connecticut will be open during regular business hours on Wednesday, December 31, 2025. However, Thursday, Jan. 1, 2026, all offices will be closed in observance of New Year’s Day.
Local hours at all post offices are available at USPS.com.
USPS customers have many options for postal services when the Post Office is closed. Customers can visit the USPS.com store anytime, anywhere at https://store.usps.com/ to order free Priority Mail Flat Rate boxes, stamps, shipping supplies and more.
Customers can also visit the Postal Locator to locate the nearest Post Offices. Don’t have access to a computer? Call 800-ASK-USPS for information on locations near you. Additionally, the 24-hour Post Office is always open by calling 800-STAMP-24.
