Post Offices Host “This ZIP Code Means Business” Events in Support of Small Business Week

DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA — Washington, DC-area Post Offices will participate in Small Business Week, now through May 11, 2019, by hosting events demonstrating how the U.S. Postal Service continues to create easy and affordable services designed to help small businesses grow.
“Our ZIP Codes mean business when it comes to helping small business grow in the Washington, DC, area,” said Capital District Marketing Manager Tonya Despertt. “We offer numerous solutions to assist with marketing efforts such as Every Door Direct Mail and new and exciting mailing innovations for advertising. In addition to continuing to provide shipping solutions such as Priority Mail that help small business ship economically and confidently.”
The Postal Service embraces this year’s theme “This ZIP Code Means Business” as we recognize the importance of supporting small businesses, the jobs they help create, and the quality of life that they provide in every ZIP Code across the nation.
During Small Business Week, Post Offices around the country will host “Grow Your Business” events where business owners and entrepreneurs can learn about USPS small business offerings designed to help grow and innovate small business in a one-on-one setting. Post Offices and branches in the Washington, DC area will be participating in Small Business Week events as well.
