We're Hiring, DC Job Fair

WASHINGTON - Are you looking for a new career? The Postal Service has immediate openings for individuals who enjoy working outside and meeting new people. Information about these opportunities will be available during a job fair on Saturday, June 8, 2019 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the following location.

Job fair attendees will be able to meet with postal officials who will provide firsthand descriptions of job openings and other information.

The Postal Service is looking to hire carriers to deliver mail in the Washington, DC, metropolitan area. Positions available include:

Assistant Rural Carriers

$17.78 an hour

 No written exam required.

Rural Carrier Associate

$17.78 an hour

 Written exam is required.

City Carrier Associate

$17.29 an hour

 Written exam is required.

Applicants must have a valid driver’s license, a safe driving record, and at least two years of continuous, documented driving history or experience.  To meet the Postal Service’s requirement to be drug free, qualified applicants must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening.  In addition, applicants must also be a U.S. citizen or have permanent resident alien status.
