DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA — As one of our country’s oldest federal law enforcement agencies, founded by Benjamin Franklin, the United States Postal Inspection Service has a proud history of fighting criminals who attack the postal system and misuse it to defraud, endanger, or otherwise threaten the American public.

The Postal Inspection Service is now accepting applications for Postal Police Officers (PPOs) from August 14 through August 27.

Postal Police Officers are a crucial part of the Inspection Service team. They protect postal employees, customers, and the U.S. Mail at key postal facilities across the nation.
