WASHINGTON – The U.S. Postal Service is proposing the relocation of the Reeves Center Station Post Office, located at 2000 14th Street Suite 104 NW, Washington, DC 20009, to 1830 14th Street NW, Washington, DC 20009.
The Postal Service is considering relocation because the current landlord is redeveloping the property and will not renew the lease.
This project will allow the Postal Service to maintain retail operations for our customers in the vicinity for the long term. Additionally, the Postal Service plans to provide services at the Reeves Station facility until the replacement facility is open and operating as a Post Office.
While the Postal Service is sensitive to the impact of this decision on its customers and the community, the Postal Service will be soliciting and considering input from the community and local officials.
The Postal Service generally receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
