On Thursday, Nov. 7, the Congress Heights Post Office, located at 400 Southern Ave, SE will be dedicated to District of Columbia servicemembers and veterans.

Background:

On Dec. 29, 2022, President Biden signed into law H.R. 2617 (P.L. 117-328) designating the facility located at located at 400 Southern Avenue Southeast in Washington, DC, as the “District of Columbia Servicemembers and Veterans Post Office.” Delegate Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC) introduced the original legislation to honor these groups.
