Temple Heights Post Office Grand Reopening

Background:

With the grand reopening of the Temple Heights Post Office, the Postal Service is pleased to announce the opening of its 40th Post Office in the District of Columbia.

The renovation will provide local Post Office Box service, mail and package shipping, sales of postage and a variety of packing and shipping supplies to more than 5,900 households and small businesses in this neighborhood.

The reopening is part of our Delivering for America plan, meeting the commitment to invest in our Post Offices to provide a world-class customer experience with a more modern and transformed Postal Service.  With more than 31,000 retail centers nationwide, no other organization provides a resource of incredible connection for every citizen.

We thank our loyal customers for their patience as we underwent the process of seeking out a new location after the former Temple Heights Post Office closed in March 2024. We look forward to serving the community and being your shipper of choice for generations to come.

The new, renovated Temple Heights Post Office regular operating hours are 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday- Friday.
