WASHINGTON — The 14th Street Post Office reopened its doors yesterday, marking a new chapter in community service and connection. The refurbished facility, located at 1834 14th Street, NW, Washington, DC stands ready to serve the local community.
The grand reopening was attended by postal leadership and community members. The event celebrated the culmination of months of hard work and planning following the closure of the former location in February 2024. The renewed Post Office serves households and small businesses, offering a range of services including Post Office Box rentals, mail and package shipping, and a variety of postage and packing supplies.
This reopening is particularly significant as it highlights the U.S. Postal Service's commitment to the "Delivering for America" plan, aiming to invest in Post Offices to provide a world-class customer experience with a modern and transformed Postal Service. With more than 31,000 retail centers nationwide, the Postal Service continues to be a vital resource connecting every citizen.
The community's patience throughout the relocation process was greatly appreciated. Now, with the new facility in full operation from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays, we are proud to add another Post Office for customers’ convenience.
The 14th Street Post Office stands ready to continue its tradition of service, fostering connections and supporting the community it serves.
