The public is invited to a “Meet the Postmaster” event to introduce the newly-appointed Postmaster of Panama City Post Office. Postmaster Dan Tyson welcomes the community to this free event, which will be held at the Panama City Beach Post Office. Mr. Tyson is also inviting the business community to come in and learn about the Postal Customer Council (PCC.). Light refreshments will be served.

Background:
Tyson (pictured above) was selected for the position of Postmaster, Panama City Beach, FL effective February 3rd. Tyson is the 21st Postmaster of Panama City Beach. He has responsibility for approximately 200 employees who work in one branch and three stations. His territory encompasses Tyndall AFB through the west end of the Panama City beaches – making him responsible for 80,529 delivery customers and 8,026 Post Office Box customers. Since 2005, Tyson has served in multiple positions in postal management, developing a strong customer service background.
The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
