USPS Announces Final Decision on Additional Retail Service Facility in the Cape Coral Community

CAPE CORAL. FL — Following a public meeting held on October 21, 2019, and careful review of all public feedback received, the U.S. Postal Service has made a final decision regarding Cape Coral services.  The Postal Service will proceed with its proposal to add a retail services facility in the Cape Coral community, within the area defined at the public meeting.

This proposal was overall well-received by the community, and no comments opposing it were received.  The Postal Service anticipates providing the same services at the new location that are offered at the existing Post Office location. The goal is to select an additional retail location to better serve our customers in the Northern Cape Coral area.

While the Postal Service is sensitive to the impact of this decision on its customers and the Cape Coral, Florida community, we properly considered community input and this decision is consistent with Postal Service objectives.

The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
