What:

On Friday, March 27, 2020, the community of DeLand, FL, will experience an event that occurs only once a century.  It is called Date Meets ZIP. The date of 3-27-20 will match one of the community’s ZIP Codes of 32720.  This rare occurrence will be recognized by a special postmark.

When:

Special stamp cancellation will be available for 30 days beginning Friday, March 27, 2020 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

DeLand, FL 32724

Background:

The possibility of having a Date Meets ZIP is quite rare.  It only comes around once every 100 years and for most post offices, this never occurs at all.

Residents and businesses are welcomed to bring their own postcards, letters or purchase items from the DeLand Post Office and have it stamped with the commemorative postmark to remember this special once-in-a-lifetime occasion.
