H.R. 8611 designated the facility of the United States Postal Service located at 4755 SE Dixie Hwy in Port Salerno, Florida as the Joseph Bullock Post Office.

In February 2020, FHP Trooper Joseph Bullock was shot and killed while assisting a disabled vehicle on I-95, just north of the interstate rest area in Martin County.

FHP Trooper Bullock was a U.S Air Force veteran who had served with the Florida Highway Patrol for 19 years. He will be remembered by his family, co-workers, and motorists he helped during his career as a man committed to law enforcement who protected Martin County.
