Manages USPS Retail & Delivery Services for Parrish
PARRISH, FL – Alan Friedman knows many facets of "Delivering for America." He started as a rural carrier, became a clerk and supervisor, and now serves as Parrish Postmaster.
"I have 43 employees, 23 rural routes, and one retail unit," says Friedman. "We are experiencing a lot of growth in Parrish. I am ensuring that we serve our new customers safely and efficiently."
Friedman says he recognizes the "tremendous responsibility as postal employees to serve local customers. We must make sure they know about our products, services, and the network of postal employees across the nation, making sure whatever they mail will reach its destination promptly," he says.
"Our customers also depend on us to deliver their mail daily," he adds. "We are responsible to our customers, the community, and the nation."
The former professional polo player says he chose the Postal Service for its stability so that he could raise a family and plan for the future.
Friedman, who is married with one son in high school, says, "Delivering for America" is the responsibility of every employee. "I am ensuring my employees, and I are doing everything we can to serve Parrish."
The Postal Service generally receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products, and services to fund its operations.
