U.S. Postal Service Plans to Relocate Hallandale Beach/Golden Isle Operations

Hallandale Beach, FL — The U.S. Postal Service has announced its decision to proceed with the relocation of retail operations from the Golden Isle Postal Store at 1800 E. Hallandale Beach Blvd to a building located at 800 E. Hallandale Beach Blvd in Hallandale Beach, FL.

In March 2022, the Postal Service sent a postcard to residential and business customers in Hallandale Beach 33009 and Hollywood 33019 and 33020 ZIP Codes for community feedback. The Postal Service carefully considered any concerns expressed by the public.

The Postal Service has decided to proceed with the relocation as the current landlord has not renewed the lease and operations at this location have been suspended. Customers are encouraged to conduct business transactions at the Hallandale Main Office located at 500 S Federal Hwy, Hallandale Beach, FL 33009. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Saturday, 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon. The Post Office is closed on Sunday. This facility will continue to operate after the Hallandale Beach Golden Isle replacement facility is open.

The Postal Service generally receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products, and services to fund its operations. To be a self-sustaining organization, the Postal Service makes decisions that ensure adequate and affordable postal services as efficiently and as economical as possible. This project will allow the Postal Service to maintain retail presence and improve service to the Hallandale Beach/Golden Isle community.
