U.S. Postal Service Job Fairs to Promote Florida Keys Employment Opportunities

Key West, FL —  If you’re seeking employment in the southernmost point in the continental United States, mark Friday, July 28, and Saturday, July 29, on your calendar. Both dates, the U.S. Postal Service will be hosting a job fair at the Key West Main Post Office, 400 Whitehead Street. Postal officials will be onsite to talk with interested residents and to assist with the application process Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., and Saturday, 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

The Key West Post Office is seeking City Letter Carriers at $22.13 per hour. During the job fair, residents may apply for Rural Carrier Assistants at $19.94 per hour for the Islamorada Post Office and Rural Carrier at $24.49 per hour for the Summerland Key Post Office.

USPS employment requirements include the following:

  • Must be 18 years old or 16 years old with a high school diploma.
  • Must pass a criminal background check, drug screening, and medical assessment.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, citizen of American Samoa or US Territory.
  • Must provide recent employment history.
  • Must have a safe driving record.
