Background:

From his upbringing in Key West to his various roles in management and coaching, Javier Agostini’s journey to becoming Postmaster is a testament to his hard work, commitment, and dedication to serving the community he calls home.

Born and raised in Key West, Agostini has always had a strong sense of pride in his hometown.  After attending American River College in Sacramento, CA, he returned home to Key West to raise his two daughters. He remains deeply involved in the Key West community.  He has volunteered as a coach for the high school and also owned a semi-professional football team, the Key West Sun Devils. 

Agostini’s postal career began as a City Carrier Assistant in the Key West Post Office in 2018. Through his determination and willingness to accept various roles of increasing responsibility,  he quickly advanced within the organization. His experience in management and transportation, as well as his background in coaching, provided him with the skills needed to excel in his new role.  His hard work led him to a supervisory position and eventually to the position of Postmaster at the Summerland Key, FL Post Office in 2023.

As Key West Postmaster, he is responsible for 74 employees who work at the Key West Post Office at 400 Whitehead Street, Key West Flagler Station at 901 Caroline Street, and Key West Naval Air Station at 600 Forrestal Ave. There are approximately 17,974 total deliveries under his jurisdiction.
