Comment Period Commences
PENSACOLA, FL — The U.S. Postal Service is considering the potential relocation of retail operations from the Downtown Pensacola Post Office formerly located at 101 South Palafox Street, Pensacola, FL 32502 to a new, yet-to-be determined location, as close as reasonably possible to the previous Post Office location. The relocation is being considered because of non-renewal of the facility’s lease.
Downtown Pensacola Post Office customers have been notified about the potential relocation through a postcard in the mail and will have the opportunity to provide comments regarding the proposal.
We are inviting customers to send their comments on the proposal to the below address. Comments must be received by Oct. 11, 2024.
Attn: Pensacola, FL Downtown Station Relocation
U.S. Postal Service
P.O. Box 27497
Greensboro, NC 27498-1103
After the comment period, the Postal Service will consider the comments received. Following that consideration, USPS will make a final decision to proceed with, modify, or cancel the proposal.
While a decision is pending, the Postal Service will continue providing retail and P.O. Box services at the East Hill Post Office at 3001 North Davis Highway, Pensacola, FL 32503 during the following hours:
Monday – Friday 8:30 am – 4:30 pm
Saturday 8:30 am – 12:30 pm
Sunday Closed
We appreciate our customers’ patience as we work to continue to provide the services needed by the Pensacola community.
