CENTRAL FLORIDA — Elected officials, postal representatives, and family and friends joined Monday, May 12, to celebrate the dedication of the Brooksville Post Office building located at 207 E. Fort Dade Ave. Brooksville, FL 34601, in honor of U.S. Army Specialist Justin Dean Coleman.

“It is an honor to be here today to dedicate this office to U.S. Army Specialist Justin Dean Coleman. Justin comes from a long line of service to our Country. His father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and eight uncles were all called to serve this nation. A true hero, Justin made the ultimate sacrifice, earned the Bronze Star, and will forever be remembered for his bravery,” said Customer Relations Manager Robert Gaskin.

Legislation to designate the Post Office building as the “U.S. Army Specialist Justin Dean Coleman” Post Office Building was introduced in 2024 by the Representative Gus Bilirakis (R-FL) and signed into law by President Joe Biden on January 2, 2025.

Nationwide, many Post Office buildings are named for U.S. military service members killed in the line of duty. “It is our privilege to join Specialist Coleman’s family to remember his strength, his courage, and his commitment as we dedicate the Brooksville Station in his honor,” said Gaskin.
