It only happens once a year. USPS is inviting local media representatives to a behind-the-scenes look at package processing. With the busiest mailing and shipping week of the year right around the corner, we invite you to come view the United States Postal Service’s state-of-the-art package sorting machine in Jacksonville and hear how the USPS is ready to deliver for the holidays.

Note: For safety, attendees should wear low-heeled, closed-toe shoes of leather or leather-like material for access to the work floor.

Background:

The event will feature a brief overview of the Package Sorter Machine, PSM, one of 600+ machines installed nationwide under the Postal Service’s network transformation and modernization efforts. Attendees will also have the opportunity to ask about key holiday information, from shipping how-to's to key mailing deadlines to ensure packages arrive on time for the holidays.
