ATLANTA, GA — The U.S. Postal Service is proposing to relocate the Akers Mill Post Office, located at 2997 Cobb Parkway SE, Suite 300, Atlanta, to the Cumberland Station Post Office, located at 1901 Terrell Mill Road SE, Marietta.
A public meeting to discuss the project will be held at 6 p.m., April 24, at the Vining’s Library, 4290 Paces Ferry Road, Atlanta. Officials with the Postal Service’s Facilities Department will be there to share information and answer questions.
Additionally, for 30 days after the meeting, anyone can submit written comments to the address below for the Postal Service’s consideration prior to its final decision:

The relocation will allow the Postal Service to offer the full continuity of services while remaining convenient for customers and suitable for Postal Service’s expanding operational needs. The Postal Service does not anticipate any impact to mail delivery to Akers Mill residents and businesses.
“The Postal Service greatly appreciates the input and support from the community,” said Richard Hancock, Real Estate Specialist for the Postal Service.
