Gesselle Colon-Nutter to be Installed as Manchester Postmaster

Colon-Nutter to take Oath of Office on Sept. 29

Gesselle Colon-Nutter will be officially installed as the Manchester Postmaster at the Manchester Post Office, 415 W. Main St., Manchester, GA 31816 on Sept. 29 at 1:00 p.m.

The brief installation program will feature the administration of the Postmaster’s Oath of Office to Ms. Colon-Nutter by USPS Manager of Post Office Operations Olga Dockery. 

As Manchester Postmaster, Colon-Nutter supervises 17 postal employees at the Manchester Post Office and the daily distribution of mail to approximately 950 PO Boxes and approximately 4300 addresses on 8 delivery assignments. 

Colon-Nutter is a 16-year postal employee who previously served as a Postmaster at the Catuala Post Office. 

“My goal is to provide outstanding customer service to the communities served by the Manchester Post Office and to contribute to the overall success of the Postal Service,” said Colon-Nutter. “As outlined in our USPS Delivering for America plan, we’re modernizing and continually adapting to the evolving needs of our customers. I’m very much aware of the vital role we play in connecting neighbors and the community to the nation.”  

She enjoys spending time with family and friends and working on her garden. Her favorite quote is by Zig Ziglar, “Your attitude determines your altitude.”
