Background:

The Postmaster General Hero Award, one of the most prestigious honors for postal employees, is given to those who perform a heroic act above and beyond the call of duty while on the job.

Dalton, GA Rural Carrier Sandra “Marlene” Faulknor was delivering mail when she heard “Marlene, help me please.” She approached the sound and found one of her customers laying on the floor. The gentleman fell from the night before and remained outside until his carrier arrived.
