USPS Seeks to Relocate Retail Operations at Acworth, GA Oak Grove Station Post Office

Comment Period Commences

ACWORTH, GA — The U.S. Postal Service is considering the potential relocation of retail operations from the Acworth Oak Grove Station Post Office formerly located at 5944 HWY 92 Suite 100, Acworth, GA 30102 to a new, yet-to-be determined location, as close as reasonably possible to the existing Post Office location. The relocation is being considered because of non-renewal of the lease at the current facility.

The Postal Service will continue retail services at the Acworth Main Post Office located at 4915 Main Street until the new post office is up and running.

Acworth, Oak Grove Station Post Office customers have been notified about the potential relocation through a postcard in the mail and will have the opportunity to provide comments regarding the proposal.

We are inviting customers to send their comments on the proposal to the following address.  Comments must be received by Sept. 30, 2024.

Attn:  Acworth, GA Oak Grove Station Relocation
U.S. Postal Service
P.O. Box 27497
Greensboro, NC 27498-1103

After the comment period, the Postal Service will consider the comments received.  Following that consideration, the Postal Service will make a final decision to proceed with, modify, or cancel the proposal.

The Postal Service generally receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products, and services to fund its operations.
