USPS Temporarily Suspends Operations at the Madison, GA Post Office

MADISON, GA – Effective June 13, 2025, postal operations at the Madison Post Office, 120 S Main St, Madison, GA 30650, will be temporarily suspended due to building renovations.

Retail operations for the Madison Post Office have been moved to the following alternate location:

  • Buckhead Post Office
    1010 Railroad Street
    Buckhead, GA 30625
  • Retail Hours of Operations:
    Monday – Friday    9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
    Saturday                 8:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
    Sunday                   Closed

Customers can also pick up items such as packages, Certified Mail, or anything for which they receive a Left Notice slip in their home or business mailbox. Customers who utilize a P.O. Box at the Madison Post Office will also retrieve their mail and packages from the Buckhead facility.

Customers are reminded to bring proper photo identification for mail and package pickups.

The safety and well-being of our customers and our employees is a priority to the U.S. Postal Service.  We appreciate our customers’ patience as we work to resume operations at this facility. Updates will be provided as soon as additional information becomes available.
