Typhoon Aftermath: Saipan Post Office Reopens

Guam, Rota Postal Facilities Remain Closed

SAIPAN – The Saipan Post Office will reopen for business on Friday, May 26 with its usual hours of operation: 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekdays and 9 a.m. to noon on Saturdays. The office had closed earlier this week in response to the approach of Typhoon Mawar.

U.S. Postal Service facilities in Guam and Rota remain closed.

Here are the details:

  • All Guam postal facilities will remain closed until further notice; there will be no street or PO Box mail delivery or retrieval of mail from its blue collection box or mail slots while the office is closed.
  • The Rota Post Office will remain closed until further notice; there will be no PO Box mail delivery or retrieval of mail from its blue collection box or mail slots while the office is closed.

The Postal Service’s decisions regarding the resumption of services will be guided by information and directives issued by local public safety officials.
