Seeking 27 New USPS Employees for 4 West Hawaii Post Offices

What:

The U.S. Postal Service is hosting a two-day job fair from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Apr. 27 and 28 at the Kailua Kona Post Office.

USPS officials hope to hire 27 new employees to fill positions as City Carrier Assistants, Rural Carrier Associates, Assistant Rural Carriers, and Postal Support Employees on the Big Island. The positions, whose starting pay ranges from $18.69 to $19.06/hour plus 20 percent COLA, will be located at the Kailua Kona, Kamuela, Kealakekua and Waikoloa Post Offices.

City Carrier Assistants and Rural Carrier Associates case, deliver, and collect mail along prescribed routes. Assistant Rural Carriers deliver packages on Sundays and observed holidays. They may also case, deliver, and collect mail and packages on Saturdays. Postal Support Employees distribute mail and perform a variety of sales and customer support services.

“This is a great opportunity for anyone seeking a fast-paced, rewarding work environment with good pay,” said USPS Workforce Planning Specialist Naupaka Hanchett. “As outlined in our USPS Delivering for America plan, we’re modernizing and continually adapting to the changing needs of our customers. In order to do that, we need motivated, dedicated people to join us to deliver for our local communities and our nation.”
