Paauilo, HI — The PO Box section, parcel lockers and mail drop slot of the Paauilo Post Office will be closed from Monday, May 16 to Friday, June 30. The Paauilo Post Office is located at 43-1355 Mamalahoa Highway, Paauilo 96776.

This temporary closure is necessary to accommodate the construction of a new ramp that complies with the requirements of the federal Americans with Disabilities Act.

During this closure, affected PO Box customers can pick up their mail and parcels over the counter at the Paauilo Post Office during its retail hours of operation. The facility’s retail hours are:

Weekdays – 8:30-11:30 am & 12:00-2:30 pm
Saturdays – 9:00-11:00 am

“We apologize for any inconveniences that this temporary closure causes and appreciate our customers’ understanding and support,” said Paauilo Postmaster Kim Stroh. “As outlined in USPS’s Delivering for America plan, we are modernizing and continually adapting to the changing needs of our customers. Our customers are priority one, whether they’re located in the biggest cities or smaller communities such as Paauilo.”

The Postal Service generally receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products, and services to fund its operations.
