B-Roll & Interview Manoa Carrier Delivering Christmas Packages to Her Customers
What:
Local media are invited to join a Honolulu mail carrier on her route as she delivers mail and Christmas packages to her customers during her busiest week of the year.
Media will have the opportunity to interview the carrier and some of her customers, and to shoot b-roll of her making her deliveries in a picturesque Manoa neighborhood.
“The holiday season is our time to shine,” said USPS Mail Carrier Michelle Porral-Otsuka. “It’s our World Cup, Super Bowl and March Madness all rolled into one. Delivering mail and packages this time of year makes me feel like Santa. Our customers make me feel so appreciated. And I’m glad to be able to do my part to deliver to them a happy holiday.”

Background:
The U.S Postal Service is “holiday-ready” and prepared to deliver fast and reliable service to every address in Honolulu and across the state.
Across the country, USPS has added new state-of-the-art package processing machines, hired 20,000 seasonal employees and adjusted and expanded its transportation network in order to meet the anticipated surge in packages that it will see between Thanksgiving and Christmas.
