Customer celebration planned for grand opening of new facility

Postmaster Robin Schilling will hold an Open House for the New Liberty community to celebrate the return of the New Liberty Post Office. Refreshments will be provided.

Background:
The New Liberty Post Office was Emergency Suspended November 27, 2015 due to a loss of lease.
After an extensive search for alternate quarters and input through community meetings, the Postal Service is happy to resume services at the new location. Official opening date was Saturday, July 7.
Postal leadership as well as New Liberty community leaders are expected to attend. Schilling is inviting residents and business owners to stop by and check out the new facility.
“The Post Office is the heart of any community,” Schilling said. “I hope everyone can join us in this celebration.”
The New Liberty Post Office is open from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Monday through Friday and 7:30 a.m. to 9:15 a.m. Saturday. The lobby is open 24 hours.
The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
