Postmaster Julie Agle Lancaster will hold an Open House for the community to celebrate the return of the Havelock Post Office. Refreshments will be provided.

Background:

The Havelock facility was temporarily closed due to building safety concerns October 2016.

The Postal Service is pleased to have a presence back in the community. Official opening date was Wednesday, January 9.

“The Post Office is the heart of any community,” Agle Lancaster said. “I hope everyone can join us in this celebration.”

The Havelock Post Office is open from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8:45 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. Saturday. The lobby is open 24 hours.

The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
