Come view behind-the-scenes operations of Santa’s helpers!
What:
The Des Moines Network Distribution Center will handle millions of parcels this holiday season. We are opening up our parcel sorting operation to the media for one day only.
We will show customers what happens behind the curtain when their packages leave the Post Office. It’s industrial, but there are some really great visuals of high-tech, high-speed processing, large chutes of parcels, automated systems, and people sorting parcels manually.
When & Where:
Wednesday, December 11 from 1:00 PM to 2:00PM (tour starts promptly at 1:00)
Des Moines Network Distribution Center
4000 109th Street, Urbandale, IA
RSVP & Point of Contact:
Please RSVP by December 9 to USPS Strategic Communications Specialist Kristy Anderson at kristy.l.anderson@usps.gov or (612) 271-7571.

We will have a spokesperson on hand to talk about mailing tips, deadlines and ways to save money and time.
A facility manager will conduct the tour and speak about the equipment, transportation and employees.
